Do people actually take the time to make those pics when selling?
Those pics of all the items and their descriptions...I mean, it's a ton of stuff, do people actually sit there and screenshot everything, copy, crop and paste them into 1 pic? Or is there a 3rd party program (my suspicion), that can do that for you?

nothing will 'do it for you' but most use Photoshop or Paint shop pro to edit thier SS's. They do make them look all pretty by themselves.

For a free semi easy to use program with lots of advanced features.
http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/ Photoshop is NOT the easiest to learn yet very powerful. I own (legit) Photoshop 5.5 (I know it's very old now) but works great for what I use it for. Last edited by EternalTempest; Feb 08, 2006 at 09:17 PM // 21:17.. |

Statistics show your item is 87% more likely to sell with a picture than without.

I take pics of every item I sell. As a buyer, I'd be very unlikely to buy from someone with no pics of their items. It's time consuming, but anything worth doing well is time consuming.

Once you know the process, it takes more time to load photoshop than it does to crop and save your photo. =)

Agree, If I see two (same) items around the same price, if one has pic, and one doesn't I go with the one w/ the pic.

I forget about taking pics... it's a habit now.
Is it gold? Screenie it. I can always go and delete my useless screenies some other time. |

I agree that a pic of the weapon or item in question makes it that much more marketable. I hate to say it, but if I open a sell thread and there are no pictures tied to the items, I'm definately more inclined to close the thread and look elsewhere.
Tell you one thing, whoever the person was who made the first picturebook was onto something... |
